The number of AI services is increasing in many areas. However, trust and acceptance are often at a low level, which is why the potential of the services cannot be fully exploited. With FAIRWork’s aim of promoting democratic decision-making through AI systems, transparency of the systems plays a key role in - ultimately - building trust. However, especially the perspective of end users without AI expertise has often been overlooked when researching AI transparency.

In various studies as part of FAIRWork, we have looked at the question of what end users need from AI transparency and how it should be designed. With the webinar, we provide an insight into our results and thus offer developers and applicants of AI approaches to developing AI that promotes trust and enables the best possible decision-making.
